TechnoEnviron Consultants provides Best Available Technology tailored to meet specific conditions and the expertise and over 25 years working experience has resulted in development of :
Sugar factory effluent treatment:-
In a major deviation from conventional Surface Aerator Technology, a highly process and energy efficient Diffused Air Aeration System was introduced in 1993 at Jawahar S .S. K. Ltd., Besides saving energy by 20%, this resulted in a stable effluent treatment approach which was adopted by almost all the sugar factories thereafter. Use of primary anaerobic phase to cater for variations in flow and concentration has also resulted in considerable reduction in energy requirement. About 35 plants constructed and commissioned under our supervision are working successfully.
Distillery effluent treatment:-
Realizing the need of Energy Conservation, Shree Siddheshwar S. S. K. Ltd., Solapur established the First Biodigester Plant based on Sulzer technology under our supervision in Maharashtra in 1990. Thereafter Biodigester Plants based on different technologies like Baccardi, Pacques, Esmil Biothene were established under our supervision. In fact, the entire plant at Eastern Distilleries and Chemicals Ltd., Calcutta was stabilized by us. The provision of Biodigester solved the problem of steam / fuel for the distillery, particularly for the off Season.
The effluent after Biodigester needed Secondary Treatment and Disposal and as such, the technology of aerobic composting was developed and stabilized, which is working successfully at various distilleries. This yielded nutrient rich manure.
The material balance however forced second thinking on the technology up gradation and a composite approach is therefore formulated to effectively achieve zero pollution. About 20 plants constructed and commissioned under our supervision are working successfully
Dairy effluent treatment
The dairy effluent, emanating from the washing operations, is slightly acidic and highly biodegradable. A peculiar problem, which has been universally faced during working of effluent treatment plants, is de-stabilization of treatment process on fluctuations of effluent characteristics, particularly when effluent streams from product sections like whey are entrained. Anaerobic Digestion established as primary treatment solved this problem. As a special technique, the DAF Technology provided after Anaerobic Digester proved to be the best buffer technique between the phases. The treatment plant resulting in recyclable quality of water, is also working with the electrical load generated from the biogas accrued.
Water management:-
A need was also felt to conserve water which is wasted indiscriminately in all the sugar factories. Segregation of streams concept was adopted by which it was possible to run not only the entire sugar factory operations, but also, the ancillary industries like co - generation and part of the requirement of the distilleries without a single drop of water intake. This concept has been pioneered and developed by us and the technology developed is working successfully at major sugar industrial group in India. This endeavour has been well acknowledged by Government agencies in the form of grant of subsidies towards water conservation. This exercise not only makes the sugar complex operation self - sufficient, but also, contributes towards conservation of this principle and scarce resource.
